California DUI Defense attorney Robert Tayac has more than fifteen years of experience defending DUI cases in Northern California. He was born and raised in San Francisco and received a B.S. degree from the University of California, Davis.

Subsequently, Mr. Tayac received his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, where he was articles editor for one of the Law Review journals. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Tayac was a member of the San Francisco Police Department, achieving the rank of Inspector (Detective) of Police.

Mr. Tayac worked as a staff attorney for Appellate Defenders in San Diego, representing people in the California Court of Appeal who had been convicted of criminal offenses in Southern California's Fourth District . Mr. Tayac has defended countless driving under the influence cases and belongs to numerous professional associations, including the National College for DUI Defense, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and California Public Defenders Association.
